Dear Ennui is a simple platformer. You are ennui, and at the recommendation of your mother have gone in search of something to make you happy.  Landing on spikes will increase your boredom, and falling into the abyss will bring death. Make sure to hit the checkpoints to save your progress.

NOTE: This was made in three hours. I spent another hour or so after the Game Jam to clean up a few things.  1) I added a jump animation to the character. 2) I fixed the jittery camera scrolling. It's much smoother now.  3) And I updated the art for the bounce pads, switches, and spikes so they are more in line with the rest of the look of the game.

cool!! just needs to make the art a little bit more consistent and yea!

Thanks! And yeah. I wanted to make the platforms/buttons/springboards etc... match more, but I just ran out of time. The spring boards are literally my place holder boards. Haha! When the voting is over for the jam, I'm gonna do another pass and clean it up

loved the art style and music, seemed like there wasn't coyote timing implemented that would have been a nice addition and maybe some more color variation on the spikes so that they were more easily discernable from the rest. Overall good game!

Thanks! I agree. The spikes are the worst part. I didn't have time to get the art on all the little things worked out.

And yeah, I'm not super happy with the jump timing. Another plan for after the jam.

Thanks for the feedback!

Really cute little game.  challenging in the right kind of way, to make you want to get better.
took a little bit to figure out the health counter.
I hope we get to see more levels

Thanks man!
